Daniel Carbone - Boys Varsity Coach



  • Coach Carbone is a 2009 Graduate of Kittatinny and second year coach of the Varsity Boys Soccer team. Carbone began as a volunteer for Kittatinny Travel Soccer at age 17 and is now the Head of Boys Youth Development with World Class Soccer Federation/SCP. He works with a variety of ages and teams to help progress and develop players to be prepared for the next level. He holds his USSF National C License.

Ronald Babus- Varsity Boys Assistant



  • Coach Babus is a 2000 Graduate of Roxbury High School. He played defense for Roxbury High School from ‘96-‘99, being a part of the 1999 Group 4 State Section championship team. He has earned his AS degree in Exercise Science from County College of Morris, BS in Sociology from East Stroudsburg University, and MS in Park and Resource Management. He is a United States Park Ranger and certified Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid instructor. He is a second year Varsity and JV volunteer Boys Soccer coach, specializing in defense and goaltending.

Jeanette Spooner- Girls Varsity Coach



  • Coach Spooner began teaching and coaching at KRHS in 2017. She has been asst. girls soccer coach, asst. girls basketball coach and asst. softball coach for KRHS since then. She is a 2005 graduate of High Point High School. She played midfield for her team who finished their senior year season 19-1 earning the first ever SCIL title for girls soccer in school history. Coach Spooner was the head girls soccer coach at her alma mater-HP from 2012-2015 leading the girls to obtaining another conference title and was recognized as a coach of the year. Coach Spooner has been an independent soccer trainer & camp founder working with various club teams around NJ for the last 14 years as well as working for ProCamps USA featuring USWNT players Alex Morgan & Tobin Heath. She earned a BA in Health & Physical Education from Montclair State University in 2010 and a Master’s Degree In Educational Leadership from Walden University in 2015.




Brittney Derin- Varsity Girls Assistant



  • Coach Derin began coaching at KRHS in 2020.  She has coached as the assistant girls soccer coach and volunteers for the girls basketball team as well.  She graduated from High Point High School in 2008.  She played defense during her time with the Wildcats. She later played for SCCC women’s team who won their first Conference title in 2008.  Coach Derin was assistant coach for 2 years at Delaware Valley Regional from 2013-2015.   Most recently she was the assistant coach at High Point Regional from 2017-2019. She has also trained independently for various athletes and teams over the course of the past few years. Coach Derin graduated from East Stroudsburg University with a B.S. in Health & Physical Education in 2013 and currently teaches at Ogdensburg School.

Matt Majka- Junior High Coach



  • Coach Majka spent 17 years as the Head Coach of the Kittaitinny Girls Soccer Program.  During that time, the program compiled: 4 league titles, 8 wins in the state tournament, made the HWS Finals, and was awarded 2 League Sportsmanship Awards.  In addition, many former players have gone on to play at D1, D2, and D3 colleges.  Currently, he coaches the girls middle school team at Kittatinny, and works as a World Class/Magpie Soccer Club Coach.  In addition, Majka is a USSA Ski Racing and a golf coach.

Steve Butler- Junior High Coach



  • Coach Butler is a 1991 Graduate of High Point Regional High School and a 1997 Graduate of William Paterson University.  He has coached soccer for the Cougars in multiple capacities for 24 years. He began his career in coaching at KRHS in the 1997-98 season with the High School Boys Soccer Program.  He has coached the Jr. High Boys and Girls Teams since 2011. Mr. Butler has also been an Assistant Coach of the wrestling program at KRHS for 24 years, as well as both Varsity and JV coach of the softball program at KRHS for 20 years.
