Dress Code
We expect that all students come to school dressed appropriately. For your information, the following guidelines are
provided for you, which will alleviate any confusion as to what is and what is not
acceptable dress:
- Clothing may not expose underwear of any kind, e.g. bras, panties, boxer
shorts.
- Skirts and shorts must be at least mid thigh in length. A good test for length is to place your hands at
your sides. Acceptable length is at the tip of
your longest finger.
- Bare midriffs may not be exposed.
- Spaghetti straps and tank tops that are not at least two inches in width
are not to be worn.
- Sweaters or shirts covering straps of an unacceptable width are not
permitted.
- Hats, caps, sunglasses, overcoats, heavy jackets and other outdoor
clothing are not to be worn in the school.
- Gang related clothing is not permitted.
- Clothing which contains inappropriate language, profanity, drugs, alcohol,
or sexually suggestive innuendos are not permitted.
Please be advised that students who violate the dress code will be subject to
disciplinary action. Students will be told to
change and may receive detentions or possibly face suspension for repeat offenses.
Please remember that our goal at Kittatinny Regional High School is to create a
safe environment that is conducive to learning. Appropriate
dress helps to maintain a professional atmosphere in the school as well as keep our
students focused on their schoolwork. Your
cooperation is essential in helping us in this endeavor and is greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
