Angellilo

Principal

There are few things that are more gratifying in this profession than to watch the transformation that takes place in students from apprehensive freshman to confident senior.  I have always enjoyed helping to guide and encourage young adults to achieve and expect greatness from themselves and to help instill that attitude in others.  Working in an environment where a strong sense of community and the expectation of greatness exists in the administration, faculty and staff alike is truly exciting.

I graduated from Fordham University with a Bachelor’s Degree in History in 1995 and in that same year accepted a position at DePaul Catholic High School in Wayne, NJ to teach social studies and coach football and track and field.  I was employed by DePaul until 2001 when I accepted a position at Pompton Lakes High School to serve as a social studies teacher and student council advisor.  I was also an assistant football coach and served as the head girls track and field coach.  While at Pompton Lakes, I helped to guide the girls track and field team to two consecutive league championships in the BPSL in three years, the first championships in track and field in the history of the school.

In 2003 I completed my Masters Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Montclair State University.  I first came to Kittatinny in 2004 serving as the high school assistant principal, a position that I held for two years.  In 2008 after a brief stint as a K-6 principal in West Milford, I returned to Kittatinny as the school’s principal.  I am currently a student at Seton Hall University and am working to complete my doctoral degree in Education Leadership, Management and Policy.

My best times are spent with my wife, son and daughter.  Currently my number one hobby is to participate in anything competitive.  I am trying to improve on an erratic golf game and enjoy exercising, working outdoors and fishing.  I look forward to helping continue a strong tradition of excellence at Kittatinny Regional High School.  Reflecting back, I know that Kittatinny is the school I always wanted to be at.  I am so pleased to be able to work with so many fine staff and students and look forward to many more successful years as a Cougar.
